Woodstock Magazine interviewed Author Susan M. Webb this summer about the inspiration behind her new children’s picture book “Bertie: The Best Stuttering King.” This book details the life and times of King George VI, Queen Elizabeth’s beloved father and mentor.
On a side note, It is truly poignant that this article hit the newsstands the same week as the Queen’s sudden passing in early September 2022. As stated so eloquently by former British Prime Minister Theresa May after learning of the Queen’s death: “God bless the Queen. May she rest in peace and rise in power.”
